Greetings from a cold and rainy New York City. It's a yucky Sunday here in the big apple, but I happily braved the weather to go see a couple of my friends perform in a reading this afternoon. Joel wrote a song-cycle that he debuted today, featuring my friends Roy and Katie. The music was great and funny and touching, and the performances were absolutely beautiful. I was so proud of my friends showing off their talents. Amazing work today!

As you might have saw on my homepage, I recently got a job. I'm excited to make my North Carolina Theatre debut with CINDERELLA this April. I had auditioned for their season a couple months ago and was called in several days ago to be seen specifically for CINDERELLA. That day marked the beginning of a week-long sickness, so I wasn't sure if I made a great showing at the audition, but thankfully I got an email offering me the show shortly thereafter. I'm really excited to perform at this theatre, especially since I have so much family in the area. Hopefully they'll be able to make the trip to come see me! But I'm just happy to have a job for a few weeks!

My Wii obsession continues. Earlier this month, I got the new Super Mario Bros. Wii game and have had a great time playing it. I played the old versions of the game while growing up so I was excited to try out this new version. I'm officially addicted. And I'm almost through the game. I'm half-way through World 8 (the last world) so hopefully I'll save the Princess soon. :o)

Hope that everybody's enjoying 2010 so far! Continued blessings in the new year...

Happy New Year! I'm excited about 2010 and all the possibilities that the new year brings! I'm so thankful for all the blessings in my life and look forward to new opportunites to come...

We rang in the new year at home. My roommates and I hosted an "open house" in which we invited our friends to stop by and hang out, eat a little (or a lot in my case), and just hang out. We made a ton of brunch food, which then transitioned into cheese ball and chocolate fondu! And we watched a lot of '80s movies. A bunch of our friends came out to help us celebrate 2010 and I'm so thankful to everybody who shared their holiday with us!

On Saturday night, I had the opportunity to go see WHITE CHRISTMAS on Broadway before they closed on Sunday. I had never seen the show, although I've auditioned for it many times. It was so amazing. I loved every minute of it! I had so many friends on that stage that I could hardly keep up with them. I need more eyes to follow everybody! i was so proud to see my friends up their performing their hearts out and living the dream! It's inspiring!

I hope your new year is off to a great start. Here's to 2010...
